REQUIREMENTS & APPLICATION PROCEEDURE
You need a Nigerian Passport (Nigerian e-Passport) known as Ecowas Passport valid for at least 6 months before you could confidently apply for a visa in Nigeria.
The Nigerian e-passport is an ECOWAS passport which means it is part of the common document hold by some countries in West Africa. If you hold this type of international passport, you can travel to other member states for a period of a maximum 90 days without visas.
New passport applications and re-issues cannot be processed in proxy. The applicant must appear in person.
At the moment, Nigeria now offers only electronic passport known as the e-passport and is classified as either standard or official passport.
To apply for the standard e-passport (Nigerian passport), the applicant must attend an interview with a birth certificate/age declaration, Local Government letter of identification and a recent passport sized photograph. The official Nigerian e-passport is not common and it is reserved for government officials and Nigerian diplomats only.
Applying for a new Nigerian passport or re-issue (renewal) in Nigeria can be a big problem to some people but we seamlessly expedite the Nigerian passport application process.
